The Partnership Relationships Manager SME is responsible for building, developing, and strengthening relationships with Fortis’ key partners — including banks, PSPs, vendors, and other organizations that refer clients or provide joint products.
The goal of the role is to position Fortis as a priority partner for each key counterpart, drive partner activity (leads, referrals, inclusion in their sales channels), increase Fortis’ visibility within partner teams, expand reach, and scale the partnership impact.
Core Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders within partner organizations
Run regular sync calls, meetings, and business reviews with partners
Conduct or organize training sessions, workshops, and presentations for partner teams
Align and document joint goals, action plans, and KPIs
Monitor partner activity (leads, engagement, active customers/users)
Identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the partner channel
Keep internal Fortis teams informed about opportunities, risks, and challenges related to each partner
Maintain relationships and manage communication during crisis situations (issues, escalations, churn risks)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Number of inbound leads from each partner
Frequency and quality of interactions with decision-makers
Number of trainings, workshops, and enablement sessions for partner teams
Presence and mentions of Fortis in partners’ internal processes and channels (sales playbooks, CRM flows, internal comms, etc.)
Level of trust and engagement (qualitative assessment / partner feedback)
Number and quality of joint initiatives (events, co-marketing campaigns, product bundles, etc.)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
5+ years of experience in partnership management, account management, or related roles within fintech, banking, or payments industry
Proven track record of managing and growing partner relationships, driving partner-led revenue, or co-marketing initiatives
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor KPIs, report on partner performance, and identify growth opportunities
Experience in organizing trainings, workshops, and enablement sessions for partner teams
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
Ability to handle challenging situations, escalate appropriately, and manage partner crises
